Okay, here’s the thing about me. I love a good editorial and this one did not disappoint. Custom made bridal attire by Handmade by Yamileth, shoes by Kailee P- all of the most romantic and feminine accessories. This elopement was perfect, a beautiful day for a wedding!
The perfect minimal stationery for an elopement.
I wanted to shoot at Griffith Observatory because it is one of the most romantic locations in Los Angeles. It is full of people and yet it felt so intimate.
Los Angeles has some of the most beautiful architecture.
A beautiful ceremony outside of the main building our bride and groom reciting vows to each other and then off for some cake and champagne.
Renae wore a gold, pearl ring, a gold bangle, and a monogrammed necklace all passed down from her grandmother. Her bouquet was minimalistic, made of white roses and blush carnations. Ernesto wore a burgundy tux that complimented Renae’s dusty pink corset and tulle skirt. Talk about a stunning combo!
A handsome groom.A stunning Bride. The unique architecture of the Observatory reminds me of Greece.
So many beautiful picturesque backdrops at the Griffith Observatory for this elopement. The grass area was closed this day, but we pivoted and chose lovely sites.
The day finally came for Kevin and Genesis! Nearly eight months after their engagement session at Pasadena City Hall, they are officially Mr. and Mrs. Sieger!
Their day was truly stunning. Sunny with a light breeze, Tuscan Rose Ranch showed off just for them. The lavender and European architecture of Tuscan Rose Ranch made way for the understated elegance to pop through. Lush, white florals and delftware decor, it was beautiful!
The day started off in the bridal suite with Genesis getting ready. She wore the Ophelia, a strapless, satin ball gown by Maggie Sottero. She paired her look with block heels by Jewel Badgley Mischka in Alyna. Besides her engagement ring, she wore a simple charm bracelet from Tiffany and Co.
Genesis had her mom help her get ready for her first look with her dad. So many emotions as she’s the first of her sisters to get married.
Meanwhile Kevin was in the holding suite, waiting for the ceremony to start. He wore a blue tuxedo from Men’s Warehouse with black patent leather shoes. He opted for a bow tie for a more sophisticated look.
Kevin and Genesis decided to incorporate a feet washing ceremony and communion during their nuptials. Their goal for their wedding day was to put their faith in Jesus on display. In the same way Jesus displayed service to His apostles when washing their feet, some Christian couples opt to do this in service to one another.
I’m not crying. YOU’RE crying.
Not a dry eye during their ceremony. I loved Kevin’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time.
Right before their first kiss as husband and wife, their family members gathered and prayed over them.
The bride and groom were surprised with doves at the end of their ceremony. This was one of my favorite highlights.
This father-daughter dance made everyone so emotional. Gen’s sisters and mom joined their dance before the song’s end.
If I’m honest, this is one of my favorite parts of the day. I know, I’m totally biased because I have boys myself- but I truly become a mess.
The sweetest getaway. This classic Bel-Air belongs to Kevin’s dad!
This shoot celebrates my Salvadoran and Guatemalan roots, inspired by Fernando Llort’s art and the vibrant textiles of both countries. Honoring Central American independence, we blend modern and traditional elements with deep reds, pinks, blues, and greens in the decor.
The shoot features two dresses. Vista by Tadashi Shoji- with floral embroidery in essence, like tropical landscapes and a high neck to show the model’s flower crown. The second dress, custom-made by Handmade By Yamileth, includes a crepe crop top with an open back and floral chiffon. Both pay tribute to Central American traditional wear. Paired with Charlotte Mills shoes and a modernized Guatemalan huipil and corte, complemented by a jeweled sash and red Steve Madden Heels. Additionally, we can’t forget our groom! He wore a blue suit and a textiled tie that brought the entire look together.
The venue, Reptacular Ranch in Sylmar, CA, exudes the rustic charm of a Central American town. Decor is simple, featuring Fernando Llort’s art on cookies and cake. The table setting includes Salvadoran quesadillas on layered tableware, with Llort-style bird place cards and vibrant Salvadoran napkins and table runners.
Above all, the standout feature is the mosaic cake pattern, mirroring the intricacy of El Salvador’s painted cathedral. Cola Champagne, a sweet Salvadoran import, served as both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Mini Pupusas, El Salvador’s national dish, completed the authentic culinary experience.
